Yellow Group Yarns

Monday 27th August – We have been very lucky to have the Responsible Pet Program come and visit Yellow Group this week.  Cecilia and her dog Bronson came into our Kinder and taught us all about being safe around dogs. The children explored and demonstrated ways that dogs could show different emotions. These included facial expressions, their posture and how the dogs tail could be positioned. We learnt that the golden rule around dogs is if the dog has no owner near by and is not on a lead then we shouldn’t touch it. At the end of the session we practised how to safely pat a dog. The children enjoyed this hands on experience with Bronson and will benefit from this knowledge when they next come across a dog in public.
