Overdue Books

If your child has an overdue library book, there is a process of several steps we take in order to try and encourage the child to return it:

1. In Library - every class has an allocated library time and the kids are able to ask any of the librarians to check and see if they have books on loan and the current

status of that/those books (ie: current or overdue)

2. In class - classrooms are frequently sent overdue lists, usually one or two days before their allocated class library time, which list the childs name and the name/s of any books overdue as a reminder for them to return their book

3. Notes - At the end of the year, or if requested, a note will be given to the child to show to their parent/guardian to help the child locate their overdue book

4. Email - If a child has not returned a book for over a year, an email will be sent to the parent/guardian requesting assistance in locating the book

Some points to remember...

If a student has lost a school book, please let the school/teacher know as soon as

possible so we can make amendments.

If a book is damaged, please do not throw it out!  Return the book to the library as soon as possible so it can be logged as returned, repaired if possible, or written off.
