Anzac Day
Thank you to the staff, parents and students who represented St Mary's at the Mooroopna ANZAC Day Parade and Ceremony. A pleasing number of staff, parents and students gathered at the water tower early on Thursday morning to pay respect, remember and acknowledge the sacrifice of Australians who served in the First World War and all subsequent conflicts.
Sports Achievement
Congratulations to Amani Issell who was selected to trial for the Victorian Primary Schools Netball Squad. This was held earlier in the week and Amani has made the next stage of the trials, Great effort Amani, we wish you all the best for the next stage.
Woolies Earn & Learn
We are excited to once again be taking part in the 2019 Woolworths Earn & Learn program. During the previous campaign, we were able to purchase some great resources with points we earned from our families sticker collections, thanks to you.
From 1st May until June 25th 2019, you can collect stickers at Woolworths that go towards Earn & Learn points, which can then be redeemed for new equipment and resources for the school. For every $10 you spend at Woolworths (excluding the purchase of tobacco, liquor and gift cards), you will receive a sticker. These stickers can then be given to your children to collect on a special sticker sheet (attached and available at Woolworths or the school office). Stickers can only be placed in the allocated squares. Once it is completed, students can bring it to school or drop them into our local Woolworths collection box. The more points we earn, the more we can redeem from a selection of over 10,000 educational resources including mathematics and English resources, art & crafts materials and sports equipment!
