Principal's Report
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to Term 3!
I would like to acknowledge the fantastic work that teachers and students have accomplished so far this term during this ‘Learning from Home’ phase. This has been accompanied by tremendous support from our parent community during these challenging times. Any family seeking support should contact their child’s class teacher. Class work can be modified or reduced if the workload is too much. Student wellbeing and engagement is most important during this time.
Next week is Education Week across all NSW Public Schools. Our school will be celebrating by including Education Week and NAIDOC week activities in our Learning from Home units of work. The theme for Education Week this year is ‘Lifelong Learners’. Our teachers are organising a variety of engaging and fun activities to celebrate including ‘dress as your future self’ day. On Monday we will begin our Education Week activities with an assembly live on Adobe Connect at 9am. All are welcome to join the assembly.

We understand students are missing their friends and this is a very difficult time for all. Please remember to follow the NSW Health advice at all times and stay home unless going out for essential items or services. Students should not be visiting the houses of other students. We encourage students to stay connected through the sharing of their online learning experiences.
Congratulations to Kindergarten who next Wednesday will complete 100 days of learning! To celebrate, the Kindergarten teachers have organised a Zoom meeting to allow Kindergarten students to connect together. We are looking forward to seeing lots of big smiles and happy faces. 100 days of learning down with many more to go!
Our P&C met on Wednesday night. Discussions included supporting our students to learn from home, and what the current restrictions mean for our school. Any parents wanting information on these or other topics are welcome to attend our P&C meetings. All meetings at this stage will be held via Zoom.
Next week Mr Walker returns from leave.
Thank you again to everyone for your support during this learning from home period.
Have a great weekend and stay safe.
Mr Nigel McClifty
