Remote learning

Who would have thought we would have returned to remote learning AGAIN!?! We want to congratulate all of Junior School for going to and coming back from remote learning with such resilience and a positive attitude.

We always have a wonderful time on zoom, reading stories, playing games, seeing everyone's pets and watching you eat breakfast but we were very glad when the announcement came for the students to return to the classroom!

Literacy

Since returning back to the classroom from remote learning, students have continued to look at inferencing during reading sessions. Inferencing is all about 'reading between the lines'. It is about using what students already know, plus clues from the book to try to understand what the author is trying to tell us.

Junior B have been looking closely at a picture story book called 'The Second Sky'. We have enjoyed reading the story, reenacting it, drawing it and we are now going to use some of the wonderful text structure to become authors ourselves.
