Middle Years Sub School News

It is fantastic to see how quickly everyone adapted to remote and flexible learning. A big thankyou needs to go to the families for supporting their children through these tough times.

This time I have found some photos showing both onsite and offsite fun and hard work. I am enjoying seeing the JSA living skills matrix being used and I am sure families are enjoying having some help around the home while their child learns valuable life skills that will support them for the rest of their lives.

The photos and video clips on Seesaw show that students at home are working hard completing a variety of tasks including work sheets, Seesaw activities, online games, projects and reports. I would like to make a special mention to Jhan (room 18) for his fantastic picture of penguins in their natural habitat. Jhan has also been busy completing tasks from the living skills matrix. Go Jhan!

Students have been learning about the Olympics. Jackson (room 10) is learning to draw the Olympic rings and what they mean. Jackson is another student who regularly posts his activities and pictures to Seesaw. Great work Jackson!

Students at school have been coping really well with all the changes. It has been a joy popping into the classrooms to see what they are up to. I have seen lots engaging literacy activities, fun numeracy games, lively dancing and active sports. Although we are all enjoying school being quieter we are looking forward to everyone returning.
