Primary News

Room 2

In Room 2 we have been learning to share with each other. Students have made great improvements in their sharing and have enjoyed working together and trying new toys.

We have also been working hard and the students in Room 2 are really enjoying being at school and learning lots!

Primary Sub School News

It has been great to see our Primary students return to school after the term break. There have been many happy faces as students enjoy the fun activities at school.

One exciting event during the first week of Term 3 was a visit from students from SEDA College as part of their Sport and Recreation Certification. These talented students provided a range of physical activities including Cricket, Baseball, Soccer and AFL football. Our Primary students had the opportunity to choose what activity they wanted to participate in.

Primary students also made the transition to Remote and Flexible Learning, engaging in activities on Seesaw.

Rachael Macmillan - Acting Primary Sub School Leader

A special thank you and goodbye

As you may already be aware, I have been very fortunate in obtaining the position of visiting teacher with the Department of Education and Training in the Western Region. It is difficult to leave such a wonderful school with such captivating students, supportive families and dedicated staff. Thank you for allowing me to be so much involved in the amazing work you do and the many challenges and successes you have faced over the past few years. It is sad to say goodbye to all at Jacana School for Autism but I am leaving you in excellent hands, as Rachael Macmillan takes on the role of Acting Primary Sub School Leader.   Wishing you all the very best for the future.
