We began Term 3 fully charged from the break with clear plans laid out for the 10 weeks of Term 3 ahead;  incursions, Lightning Premiership competitions, school tours, student recognition awards, and many other celebrations and events.  And, here we are again, re-scheduling and questioning which events and plans will proceed.  Whilst it is not ideal, we also remind ourselves that there is a bigger picture here.  As the impact of COVID-19 continues to be felt on our daily lives, our number one priority remains the well-being of students, educators, staff, and the overall community.  During remote learning the leadership team has continued to brainstorm innovative ways to keep everything at 'The Springs' moving forward, engaging positive and purposeful experiences for our students and families.

With an amazing team of teachers and educational support staff, the last 2 weeks have seen a successful beginning to the new term onsite and then during these pandemic lockdowns, a mostly smooth transition back into learning packs and Webex meetings.  We hope you and your children are benefiting from the twice-daily face-to-face time with teachers and learning support assistants. We certainly have been pleased with the feedback received around learning engagement and tasks provided.

The Daily Bulletin is familiar to your children, even those in Prep, as we communicate 'daily' through it. This is, however, the first time we have shared it with our wider community via Facebook.  We hope you have benefited from sharing this with your child and interacting in the videos and mathematical challenges. It also includes a school values focus and celebrates great learning.

You can view a snapshot of the wonderful learning happening within our learning community on the following page.  There certainly is plenty to smile about there!

Please ensure you are logging onto COMPASS and remaining informed with whole school news and updates and more importantly, your child's school progress.

As we head into Week 3 of Term 3, we hope to see everyone back on site Wednesday.  Stay warm, stay safe everyone.
