It's exciting to be back at the Springs!  It hasn't been quite the expected start with lockdown and remote learning but I am so pleased that I had a few days to see the students onsite again.

I was so excited to meet our Preps and I look forward to meeting many parents, when allowed, who have joined the Springs in my absence.

Thank you to those who sent messages of support whilst I was on leave.  My beautiful daughter was born last June and I am so grateful to have spent the first year of her life with her before returning to work.  Things didn't go to plan as I seriously broke my leg in multiple places and dislocated my ankle last December.  After two surgeries, a dozen pins, and continued intensive physio I am walking again and continuing to improve.

Thank you to both Renee and Jane who acted in my position.  Both Renee and Jane have done an outstanding job in exceptionally challenging times.

I am so proud of how the community has come together throughout the challenges of remote learning.  We have certainly had to learn to be resilient.

2021 Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school.  The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is conducted amongst a sample of randomly selected parents/caregivers/guardians (previously known as the Parent Opinion Survey).  It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, student engagement and experiences of remote and flexible learning.  Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.  Approximately 30 percent of parents will be invited to participate in this year’s survey.  All responses to the survey are anonymous.  This year, those randomly selected to participate in the Parent/Caregiver/ Guardian Opinion Survey will have until Sunday 22nd August to submit the survey.

The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English.  These include:  Arabic, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek. Please keep a lookout for the Survey link via email - those selected to participate will also receive a reminder to complete the survey.

Stay safe everyone and hopefully, we will see students back on site next Wednesday.  We will monitor the Premier's announcement.
