Sacrament of Confirmation

Congratulations to all candidates of the Parish of St Joseph's Gunnedah, on receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation on Sunday 20th June, 2021. The Mass was presided over by Bishop Michael Kennedy and Father Abmar (Parish Priest).  One of our Year 5 students, Abbie Coghill, celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation on this day, with her sponsor - Mrs Marnie Jamieson - and her parents, sister and grandparents.  Thank you to Mr Malcolm Frend (REC St Xavier's Primary School, Gunnedah) for helping to arrange Abbie to be included.

We also acknowledge and celebrate our Parish Administrator, Fr Vince Amaro, on his 21st anniversary of Ordination into the Priesthood.  We thank him and pray with him on this special occasion.

Altar Serving -Expressions of Interest

Thank you to those students who have returned the expressions of interest form regarding Altar Serving.  In consultation with Fr Vince and Carissa, we will commence training shortly.  As students become more confident, they will be encouraged and supported to altar serve during Friday Mass.  Preferred weekend attendance will be shared with Parish Secretary, Bern Press, and this will be added to the church roster advising when your child/ren are to altar serve.

Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends. 

Give us strength and courage to do what is right: to be witnesses of our faith.
