Football

On Thursday 15th of July, the Intermediate Boys Football team competed against local schools at the Sandhurst Division competition. Their coach was impressed with how they played together as a team and the effort they gave all day.

The team had some tough competition and competitive matches against CMC and Weeroona. In the first game Girton played against CMC which was a good battle, CMC were too strong beating us by a couple of goals.

In the second game the team came up against Weeroona, who were a good test for the team and credit to the boys for their efforts in the first half with Austin Spiteri kicking some important goals, but unfortunately Weeroona owned the send half and in the final minutes they kicked a goal to win the match.

Thank you to Rhys Lourie (11 Frew) and Will Hamilton (11 Jenkin) for umpiring. Also a big thanks to Mr Whitsed and Mr Langan for accompanying the students on the day and making the day possible.
