World Challenge

There are approximately 122 days until the 2019 World Challenge girls depart for Vietnam and Cambodia. They have a practice hike on Tuesday 30 July where they will be dropped off at Green Point in Brighton and walk the 10 kilometres back to Kilbreda in preparation for the trekking component whilst on Expedition. The girls will carry a back pack with the identical “kit list” as recommended by World Challenge.

On our return to Kilbreda we will have a meal at the local Chinese shop in Mentone on a budget of $10.00 per person which equates to what the girls need to budget for each day whilst in country. If the girls budget well in the early weeks of their World Challenge expedition they may learn that there could be the extra $1.00 or $2.00 to put towards one of their meals for the day.

The fundraising event for the World Challenge group is the Trivia Night in the Mary Dalton Hall on Friday 6 September. Please see the Flyer attached for more details. This evening is open to everybody. Tickets will be available via Trybooking in Week 3. There will be the Trivia, Silent Auctions, Live Auctions and many games to play on the night. The World Challenge girls are really looking forward to this evening where they hope to raise additional funds that will go towards their Community Engagement phase of their World Challenge expedition.
