Principal's Report

Respect, Creativity, Endeavour, Friendliness, Honesty, Trust

We are looking forward to working and learning with all families this semester and to continue our strong partnership to support student learning, growth and engagement.

On Monday our staff workshopped with Tracey Ezard, an educational consultant, focusing on strengthening our Robbie Mac culture, creating deep learning, connection and innovation with our students, families and the community.  Leadership teams and staff will continue to work with Tracey this year to build leadership capacity and to transform learning.

QR CODES, Checking In & Visitors

QR code requirements in schools

The public health intent of including schools in the QR code check in system for workplaces is to capture those visitors accessing school buildings or indoor facilities, but not those entering the school grounds for reasons such as school pick up.

The use of Service Victoria QR codes for electronic record keeping is mandatory for all workplaces to enable the effective contact tracing of any COVID-19 cases. This now includes schools.

QR codes will be required to be used by:

all visitors, including contractors, external Department staff and building and maintenance staff all parents who enter buildings when on the school site

QR code check ins will not be required for staff or students, or parents who come onto school grounds for drop off or pick up, but do not enter buildings.

Family Open Evening

On Tuesday 27th July we are having an Open Evening from 3.45- 5.15pm for Robbie Mac families. This will be an opportunity for students to celebrate and share their learning with their parents. All adult visitors will be asked to check in via QR code in all classrooms

We will be starting the evening with creative play for the children (so pre-schoolers are most welcome to attend with you), followed by a brief presentation by staff, then a tour of the school.

Please meet at our School Office in Birdwood St at 5.55pm.

Parent Information Evening

Building Resilience in Children

Come along & help at our Working Bee

Along with our School Landscape Masterplan we are wanting help to improve with our Grounds…

We will be working on revitalising our garden bed near the synth playground.

We are hoping for many hands on deck to assist with various jobs around the school. These include:

  • Preparing our old veggie garden for our Eco captain’s project: removing weeds, digging and raking
  • Raking the sandpit
  • Placing tan bark on playgrounds
  • Sweeping stones off the asphalt
  • Clean up of PFA supplies
  • Picking up rubbish and general sweeping
