From the Deputy Principal

Wild weather at GSG

What a ride! After the wild weather Albany experienced on Sunday night, GSG was without power, phones, internet and received a small amount of damage to the campus. Unfortunately, our resident bees had a tree fall on their home! Devastating news to the students that helped get the project on its feet. Luckily the cattle and new calves are all unscathed!  Boarding students were also without power but enjoyed takeaways for dinner and played card games by candlelight.  Classrooms also looked a little different on Monday without our usual laptops and projectors, with all teaching happening using white boards and good old-fashioned pen and paper.  I was, yet again, impressed with our school community's capacity to respond to a difficult situation with patience, kindness and a great sense of humour.

Thankyou to all the GSG community for your patience and understanding while we weathered the storm together.
