After the Storm

Monday proved to be challenging in conducting our learning. Unfortunately, the power to the School was disconnected just after 7.30am due to the previous night’s storm.  Students and staff collaborated to conduct the day as normally as possible. We continued with our timetabled classes after an initial assembly. After our first SMS at 9.30am our communication systems were limited so the normal use of phone service, texting and emailing were not available.  Could I thank parents for continuing to trust the School in the delivery of a safe learning environment. I extend my thanks to the Facilities team who worked tirelessly to ensure the grounds and buildings were safe for staff and students and the IT team who worked to ensure IT services were functional once the power was restored at 7.15pm.

Country Week

Country Week is an annual sporting event held in Perth between rural high schools from all over Western Australia.  The GSG team is coordinated by our Director of Sport, Mr Nathan Symonds. The carnival includes sports such as Australian Rules Football, hockey, soccer, netball, volleyball and basketball in a range of divisions. I take this opportunity to wish all the GSG teams the best for Country Week in 2021.
