John XXIII Netball Club

The weather continues to be in our favour.

Parking

Parking is always very difficult at Matthews' Netball Centre. Please allow plenty of time to find parking and get to the game. Please read the street parking notices as the rangers were out in full force last weekend.

COVID-19 Restrictions

  • Spectators are permitted but must wear a face mask. Face masks are not mandatory for anyone under the age of 12 or who is otherwise exempt from wearing one. 
  • Spectators are asked to practice social distancing where possible. 
  • All attendees must sign in when entering the venue using the Safe WA app. QR codes are located at each entry gate. 
  • Players and umpires are not required to wear a face mask while playing or umpiring. They must wear them at all other times while at the venue. 
  • Coaches must wear face masks but can remove them when talking to players during breaks. 
  • Sharing of water bottles and food is not permitted. Therefore no sharing of oranges & lollies.

Primary school

Please remember the rules are in place to protect all participants.

  • NO JEWELLERY: Jewellery is not permitted on court, not even taped. It is a safety hazard. Please do not put junior umpires in the position of having to confront parents to remove jewellery.
  • NO CHEWING GUM: Chewing gum is not permitted on court at any time.
  • NAILS MUST BE SHORT and filed smooth. It is best to do this the night before the game as a lot of time is wasted court side when players need to cut their nails.
  • Parents and spectators must remain stationary on the sideline. 
  • Parents and spectators are not allowed to stand along the base/goal line.

Secondary School

This is the last game before regrading. You will be advised next week if your team has changed division.

Bloomers

  • Bloomers must be worn
  • Nails must be short and filed smooth
  • No jewellery, not even taped. Girls will be asked to leave the court if they have jewellery on.

Umpire Holiday Clinics

Perth Netball Association are running a two day clinic for aspiring umpires. It’s a great opportunity to start your umpiring journey.
