Attention Year 1/2 Parents

Are you interested in learning about how to help your child at home with Maths?

I am running Year 1/2 parent workshops on how to help your child with Addition and Subtraction on these days:

Wednesday Morning  2nd June at 8:50 & Thursday Morning 3rd June at 8:50.

This will be a hands on session, where you get to play some of the games we use in our classrooms and learn the language and strategies used to help teach addition and subtraction. I will run through the Curriculum expectations at Year 1 and 2 and what you could do at home to help support your child reach these standards. SSV COBURG DISTRICT CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Wednesday 19 May 2021, the SSV Coburg District Primary Schools’ Cross Country Championships were held at Harold Stevens Reserve, Coburg.

St Fidelis was amongst 12 schools from the Coburg and Pascoe Vale area competing at the Cross Country Championships. Approximately 35 St Fidelis students competed in the 10, 11 and 12 year age groups. Up to 90 competitors competed in each age group. The 10 year age group ran a 2km course and the 11 and 12 year age groups ran a 3km course. Each event commenced on the Coburg Athletics Track and continued into nearby parkland.

The following St Fidelis representatives are to be highly commended on their efforts and wonderful achievements during practice and over a very challenging course:

Thanks to Mr MacGregor, Mr Hammond and the parents (Alfia Culosi, Liz Xerri, Pasqualine Mmadike & Bec Archibald), who were able to support our competitors by organising, supervising and marshalling our students.  Also, thanks to the parents who helped the students prepare for this event and those who were able to come along to support the team. I’m sure the extra cheers spurred our students on to greater heights.

Special congratulations to the following students who have qualified (top ten finish) for the Inner North/Moreland Division Cross Country Championships to be held on Wednesday 3 June 2021: Christian (4th) and Mikaila  (6th).
