Education in Faith
Education in Faith encompasses the following areas: Religious Education, Prayer, Liturgy and Sacraments.
This weekend sees the first two groups celebrate the Sacrament of the Eucharist. The Year Four students will receive the Body of Christ for the first time. This year due to COVID restrictions, the Year 4 students will celebrate this Sacrament in one of the four Parish masses over the next fortnight.
Over the past month the students have continued to learn about the Sacrament of the Eucharist. The students have been learning about the Eucharist for a number of years. Every time they go to Mass, from their parents and family and in their previous years here at school, the students have been seeing and hearing about this Sacrament. In class, they have read scripture about the Last Supper and the Passover and discussed the significance of these two pieces of text. They have explored the different parts of the Mass, the significance of each part and the symbols of the Eucharist.
