Life Ladders

We all know it takes a village to raise a child. We all also know that adolescence can be a tricky time for our boys, with mental health, relationships and identity being key challenges. Blue Mountains Grammar School is committed to collaborating and partnering with parents to grow outstanding young people, and as such, I am thrilled to announce the return of the Life Ladders Program.

What is Life Ladders?

Life Ladders is a small group program for Year 9 boys running throughout Terms 2 and 3, Wednesday afternoons 3:15pm to 4:30pm. The Program is facilitated by the School and is designed to support participating students to develop Hope in their HEARTS, Purpose in their MINDS, and Courage in their LIVES. Central to the Program’s success is the completion of a School cultural project. This will help participants to connect to our local Blue Mountains community and to the culture of the School. Life Ladders also aims to connect young men with great local male role models and community members.

Throughout the program participants will listen to the life stories of the men who visit the program, and learn from them, as well as participating in a number of activities designed to help them set and achieve their goals. Students will also be given a journal to write in each week, as well as a folder in which to keep all their Life Ladders information.

NOTE: Participation in Life Ladders is voluntary and will require all interested participants to undergo an application process to be considered in this program.

Life Ladders Goals
