MOUNTAIN BIKING:

For the first time ever Calrossy sent a very excited and talented team of Junior School Mountain Bike Riders to the Hunter Schools Mountain Bike Championships which was held in Newcastle on the 20th May 2021.

With over 75 entrants we had some fantastic results –

A special mention to Rory Simm who competed against kids a year older in the Under 9s yet still managed to achieve 7th Position!

In the Under 13 Category we had Xander Jones came in at 55th, William Betts crossed the line in 41st, Angus Hobson achieved 35th position and Jock Barwick flew across the line with a time of 29:39 to achieve 3rd position!

Netball Gala Day

Calrossy entered 3 teams in the Tamworth Regional Netball Gala Day on Wednesday 26th May 2021.

In the Years 3/4 Division Calrossy Unicorns had a strong team made up of Stella Walsh, Emma Leighton, Miah Anderson, Mollie Robinson, Tayla Yeo, Jorja Mureau, Ella Sheehan, Charlee Gleeson, Nellie Starr and Sophie Riley. Led by Netball Superstar Mrs Simm these girls played their hearts out all day, never gave up and with fantastic team work they came away as COMPEITIONS WINNERS with an UNDEFEATED RECORD!

In the Years 5/6 Division Calrossy Firebirds led by Mrs Aitken (Lily Berryman, Elizsbeth Pickens, Luciabella Murray, Charlotte Aitken, Ava Harding, Lauren Sharkey, Matilda McDonald and Katie Knee) and Calrossy Unicorns led by Mrs Gallacher (Evy Walsh, Claire Leighton, Zoe Sullivan, Holly McIlveen, Rose Marchetto, Lucy Robinson, Krista Taggart and Jasmine Harris) had some extremely fierce competitiors from Barraba, Moonbi, Oxley Vale and Manilla but managed to come away with an equal share on wins and losses.

This was the first year we entered teams in this local cup and moving forward we look forward to entering even more teams and developing our relationship with Regional NSW Netball. We are extremely lucky to have a gala day at our doorstep so let’s keep up our support!
