Environmental awareness
Year 9s at Merri Creek
On Monday February 12, Year Nine Illustration and Environmental Design walked to CERES Environmental Park for an insight on Merri Creek. One of our main projects this semester is to design a map of the creek and draw images of the native wildlife. Alice, our tour guide, informed us all about the history of Merri Creek and the importance of keeping it clean. She taught us about all the work CERES and the council has done to replant and clean up the creek. We also saw lots of flora and fauna on our walk so we could get inspiration for our drawings to complete our project, along with that we searched for a location to use in the design of our map. Look out for our completed maps later in the year.

Welcome to our 2018 students.
In our area we aim to teach our students basic cooking skills and nutrition that they can use in their lives at both school and home.
Our first lesson we made Rice Paper Rolls as a quick versatile snack that can be prepared with a range of ingredients that are often found in the home. Some may have even got home!
To avoid waste and so parents may also enjoy your child’s skills, we expect our students, at all levels, to bring in a container from home.
