Since the beginning of the year, the Kingswood Primary School Parent Association have held several events within the school community. This has included selling ice-creams and donuts, along with the Mother’s Day Stall. We sometimes make a small profit from these events and this money goes into our services fund which is used to financially support small projects around the school.

So far this year, Parent Association funds have supplied morning tea for the “Tea and Tissues’ for our new Prep families and we have also just purchased 7 electric pencil sharpeners for our junior classes at a cost of $1400. Classroom teachers are extremely grateful to no longer have to sharpen pencils by hand. Parent Association funds are also being utilised to pay for 2 authors to visit the school during Book Week to share their experience with the children.

If you have any suggestions for special projects/activities that will add value to our students and school community, please feel free to direct them to either the Parent Association or the school. We appreciate everyone’s ongoing enthusiasm and willingness to participate in initiatives provided by the Parent Association and look forward to providing more activities throughout the year.

DISCO

Unfortunately, due to the change in Covid restrictions, we will have to postpone the school disco. We are looking at another date towards the end of the school term and we will confirm dates soon.

DONUT DAY

Thank you to all who bought a donut and supported us. Most importantly thank you to those who put up their hands to join the working party and helped organise it. There were many suggestions explored but donuts won and what a hit it was! The kids loved it and we had a fantastic team come in to help us on the day.
