Cross Country

Last Thursday 60 students from Kingswood went to Karkarook Park to compete in the District Cross Country. As a school they performed incredibly well and did everyone at Kingswood Primary School proud, finishing in 5th place in the overall results.

All the runners showed great strength and resilience by running at such a fast pace in cold and wet conditions. They also showed excellent team spirit by supporting all the Kingswood runners throughout the day.

A special congratulations to Jade Thistlethwaite, Flynn, Jet and Noah for all progressing to Division Cross Country.

Act of Kindness

After the cross country event, Kingswood Primary School had received an email from a parent of another school, letting us know of an act of kindness shown by two of our students.

"A Kingswood student was clearly struggling to finish the race and the two other girls took her by the hand, one on either side and helped her finish the race. What I find commendable is that they did not worry about themselves or what position they would finish in, but more importantly that their friend needed help. This was such a selfless act, clearly, their parents are doing an outstanding job raising such kind human beings and your school should also be commended for teaching your students to be kind and show great sportsmanship."
