Library News

During Term 2, the library hosted Virtual Book Clubs so students could continue to share their love of reading and participate in lively online discussions on the books they are reading, have read and aspire to read. It was also an opportunity to build and sustain reading communities. Three Senior Students led by example in these Virtual Book Clubs and inspired the Junior students with their kindness and inclusivity.

Katie-Rose Karlsson, Jayde Pedersen and Emmanuella Johnson-Shortis proved that kindness does matter when it comes to leading discussions and creating Book Clubs. Their acts of kindness, leadership and support of the Book Club members continued to have a positive impact as we managed our Book Clubs in Term 3, through brief meetings before school, at recess and after school. Through their efforts they continued to provide a welcoming environment for current Book Clubbers to express their opinions and discuss books that matter.
