Classroom News & Student Awards

Happy birthday wishes to Claire and Hanna

Senior Class

Term 3 has already been off to a busy start and I can’t believe we’re already over the halfway mark! It’s been great catching up with the students this week, there’s been lots of laughter and stories shared. To start the term off the students have been working on a project combining their Religious Education and Media Art units. They’ve been looking into the term kindness and exploring the phrase ‘chain reaction’. We’ve had  lots of fantastic discussions about how small acts of kindness can have a ripple effect with a positive impact on those around you. The seniors have started planning and filming short films around kindness, we’d love to share these films with you later this term!

Junior Class

This week in the Junior room we have been getting to know each other. We have learnt some facts about Miss Williams and have taught her about ourselves. The Juniors have looked at change and how our room looks slightly different this term. We have set some goals for ourselves about how we would like to change or improve over this term. We have also had some fun making and practicing words and playing some subtraction games.

Reading Awards

This week we awarded certificates to Claire (50), Nelson (50), AJ (50) and Marnie (100).  Congratulations to these children on their excellent reading habits.

Little Joey Award

This week's Little Joey award winner is Tom.

Our Little Joeys receive a certificate, a sticker and a voucher or goods donated by a local business.  Tom's lunch order voucher was donated by Wimmera Bakery.  We are very grateful for the donations from our local businesses.
