Year 8 English

The Year 8s have been studying Japanese Literature in English this term. After studying Sadako and The Thousand Paper Cranes, A collection of 100 poems written between the 7th and 13th Century BC, and Japanese Anime, students are working collaboratively to design a task which shows their learning.

Choosing everything from their own assessment criteria to what product they’ll make, students have really engaged with the opportunity to challenge themselves.

One group is creating a book of art and poetry, another is creating a photographic display about multiculturalism and identity, and another is designing a Japanese landscape in Minecraft to show their understanding of Japanese values and culture.

Year 8 Music

The Yr 8s have been busy exploring musical instruments of the world and creating posters.

Pictured here is Quinn’s clever Clarinet A2 Poster

Year 9 Food

The Year 9 Food Class have been designing and creating menus. If these menus designed by Kiarna, Lily, Olivia and Abigail are anything to go by, we are in for a treat when they start their own businesses!

Year 11 Child Studies

One of our talented Year 11 Child Studies students created this "Nutrition in the Early Years" document as part of her Stage 1 assessment. Very proud of all our students' efforts as they complete their first Semester.

Gratitude - Year 12s

Year 12s have been focussing on gratitude this term, practicing a variety of gratitude exercises. This week they created gratitude trees in the centre of the Secondary School, identifying what they’re grateful for on the leaves.

Refocussing on what God has already given us helps us to remember his faithfulness in every situation.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.” Philippians 4:6
