Physical Education

PE Lessons

During the remote learning PE has looked a bit different to our usual lessons. We have had a focus on Fitness and how our body changes during physical activity. For the Prep/1’s this has been lots of different online workouts from Go Noodle to Yoga to Scavenger Hunts and of course some PE with Joe. With a reflection on what we are feeling in our Body, Heart or Muscles. See some of the photos of the fantastic work from our Prep/1’s.

For the Middle and Senior school we also tried lots of online workouts from Tabata to Pilates to Circuits and of course PE with Joe. The reflection process made students think more about how their body is affected by the different types of physical activity. And also will lead to students creating their own fitness circuits.

In last week's lesson the Middle and Seniors were introduced to a number of Community Sports. They were given the opportunity to explore some online training programs from AFL, Soccer, Netball, Cricket, Piltaes and Karate and asked to reflect on how these might be used to help increase our activity levels.

Many of the students enjoyed exploring these sites and I thought it would be great to remind them that they can take part in these programs at any time - not just their PE lessons. And to introduce these to the Prep/1’s too. These programs take you through skills and exercises for that sport or activity and some give challenges to keep you motivated.

So here are some programs for anyone to try out and they are all FREE online;
