College matters 

Staggered Period 4 classes 

In an effort to reduce crowding in the corridors and around lockers at the end of lunch time and at the end of the day, period 4 class times will change. There will be a staggered start for period 4:

• Years 7 to 9 - Period 4 is 2pm to 3.15pm
• Years 10 to 12 - period 4 is 1.45pm to 3pm

It will come into effect on Wednesday 10 June when all year levels will be on campus. 

Books, equipment and lockers 

Given the term ends on Friday 26 June it is recommended students bring only what they need each day. Where possible they should utilise their e-texts and o-books rather than bring hard copies to school. 

On the last day of term, lockers to be emptied to enable scheduled pest control measures to take place

Winter uniform 

The winter uniform is the only option for the next three month.  This is the last year that students can wear a blue or maroon scarf of their choice. An official MGSC scarf has been introduced and it is the only option from next year. They are already in available to purchase from Bob Stewart Mentone. 

Canteen

With all students returning to the campus the canteen will be offering a full menu. Attached is the full selection available.  

Pre-ordering and payment before school or at recess is recommended. Debit card payment is encouraged and the limit set at $4 to assist this. There will be dedicated order and pickup queues to assist with social distancing.
