Program Update

What a crazy time for all of us! We have experienced many ups and downs as a service over the past couple of months and are glad to be experiencing a return to some feeling of normality with Foundation all the way up to Grade 6 back at school! Although our numbers have been extremely low at some points throughout April & May – with only 1 or 2 (sometimes 0!) children attending, we have been able to spend quality time getting to know those children and are now regularly enjoying having 10-15 children back attending the service. We already have 10-15 children booked in for each day of the school holidays and are hoping for these numbers to grow further! Please don’t hesitate to contact Ben on 0427 144 945 with any questions about bookings or the Vacation Care program!

We have maintained a high standard of cleaning at the service – with our regular cleaning checklists and additional Covid-19 checklists being strictly adhered to. Children have been required to wash their hands upon entry to the service and to regularly sanitise their hands and parents have been required to remain off-site in accordance with school and department regulations; it has been a credit to our staff and families how smoothly we have been able to implement this change in process and in dealing with the difficult and unusual circumstances.

As a coordinator I have had a fantastic time working at the Mount Pleasant Road OSHClub service; I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all the children and families and being a part of the Mount Pleasant Road community – however an opportunity has arisen as a Education Support Integration Aide at Yarra Primary School in Richmond and I will be beginning the position full-time at the beginning of Term 3 – finishing up as OSHClub coordinator at the end of the July Vacation Care period. OSHClub has begun it’s hiring process and I will endeavour to ensure the transition process between coordinators is as smooth as possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions over this period – I will be more than happy to help 😊

Please remember that your child requires an enrolment in order to attend the service – even if you do not expect them to attend, we are unable to provide emergency care unless they have an enrolment – this ensures that we are informed in regards to their needs and able to provide the appropriate care.

If you are a new family or existing family with any questions, please feel free to come in and visit the program and make a familiar face at any time 😊

REMEMBER: Ensuring your children are booked to attend OSHClub helps us to cater for your children’s needs and ensure we have enough educators to look after your children. If you are having difficulty using the OSHClub online booking system, please call head office on 1300 395 735. Otherwise, you can book your child into the program on the day by calling or texting 0427 144 945.
