Our New Buildings - update

Progress report photos for any budding engineers wondering what is going on behind the fence.

Power upgrade.

While families have been in lockdown construction has been moving forward. As to be expected in such an old and historic building a significant power upgrade to the school has been scheduled.

When the Waterdale Rd school was erected in 1923, I am sure they had no idea that almost a century on there would be twenty eight classes and specialist areas all requiring heating and air conditioning let alone SMART boards, projectors, computers and other devices that require electricity to operate.

The electricity provider insisted that power to the site had to come from Waterdale Rd and in order to keep all of the trees there was only a single option for the placement of the mains switchboard.

Fortunately we have been able to reinstate the decorative brick paving created by previous families but we now have a large cabinet facing the path as you enter the front gate. While it currently presents as an eyesore it does provide an opportunity as a potential canvas for some fabulous artwork in a garden setting that is ready to be replanted.
