The Argus community have been focusing on their hand-eye coordination through the underarm throw and the catch. They have also been listening and following instructions through music to songs like the Hockey Pockey and the Chicken dance.

The Achilles and Ulysses communities have been focusing on their ball handling skills by participating in the underarm and overarm throws, as well as their catch. They have began transferring these skills in minor games.

The Xenica and Icarus communities have been focusing on their ball handling skills within the game of Basketball. They have been practising different drills to practise skills like the dribble, different passes like the bounce pass, overhead pass, push pass and chest pass, as well as shooting skills. Hopefully as the restrictions ease, they will be able to transfer these skills within minor and major Basketball games.ย

Discuss and find a suitable park, recreation reserve, oval, athletics track, green space, trails, the footpaths of the street on the block that you live to make a circuit or even if you have a treadmill. Walk, measure and discuss with your child the distance they will need to do. Make sure you can time your child for the duration of their run using either your stopwatch on your phone. There are also many aps you can get on your phone that your child will need to hold for the duration of there run. Here are some ideas of aps you can use: Runkeeper, Map my Run, Runtastic, Pumatrac and Nike Run Club. Please ensure you warm up, stretch and cool down.ย
