Year 12 Theatre Studies
Students in Mr Bleakley's Year 12 Theatre Studies class recently had 15 minutes to create a costume and find a significant prop for a character. They had to introduce themselves in character and explain why their object was so important to them. They could choose from the following characters:
Gertrude Stargazer: The Aspiring 80 Year-Old Astronaut
Pistol Pete: The Wannabe West-Side Gangsta Catherine: Queen of Remote Learning
Serious Steve: The Ultimate Go-Getter
Betty: The Boredom Buster
Remote Art Club
Art Club has been running remote meetings via Google Meet every Tuesday lunchtime between 12.30 pm and 1.00 pm.
It has been wonderful to get together with students from across a range of year levels and have a chance to share the creative work we have been doing while in isolation.
Each week l set an Art challenge for anyone who wants to participate. The first challenge was to try painting with coffee as a fun alternative to paint or inks.
We have also created an Art Club Google Classroom where we can share the work we are doing. All students are welcome to join.

Year 8 Ceramics
Year 8 students in Ms Young's Ceramics class have been very creative with their Gargoyle sculptures. Pictured on the shoulder of Ms Powson, is Maddy Gow's Gargoyle. Amazing!
Gargoyles were commonly used in medieval times. Their two main purposes were to scare off evil and to divert rainwater.
James Manning and his dad, dug clay from the ground and sieved it. They also cut branches to use as armature to create his gargoyle.
