SCHOOL PRODUCTION

XANADU NEWS

While some people have thrived in the remote learning classroom and others are hanging out to get back to the school grounds, one thing we can all agree on is that regardless of where we are, life is better when we do it with other people. And with that in mind, we've been continuing to work on this year's production of Xanadu!

Over this first month and a bit of remote learning, we've been meeting as a cast and crew on Google Meet regularly, sometimes to work on production numbers, and sometimes just to have fun and enjoy each other's company. They've been talks and laughs, music quizzes and even some pets join in on the fun.

Our musical direction team have been posting videos, teaching various vocal parts and harmonies and our chorey team, have been dancing up a storm in their instructional videos.

Students have been watching these and then recording themselves performing and uploading videos back to the production team.

Meanwhile our directors have also been pressing on with blocking scenes with our lead actors over Google Meet as well.

While none of us know the future and what the rest of 2020 brings, we are absolutely committed to doing what we can to see this wonderful show go on.

We'll have further updates over time as we gain a better understanding of what life on campus at LHS will look like in the coming months.

Regardless of what happens, remember what Zeus says - "To love someone else and to create art... that is Xanadu!"

Best wishes from the Xanadu team.
