School News

Naa Mari,

The end of another highly successful term is upon us and finally we are beginning to see some warm weather.

It has been a highly demanding term for all, as we continue to fully recover from the implications of the COVID pandemic. Through this period we have ensured that every student has been provided with the highest quality teaching and learning and continued to pursue our Site Improvement Plan goals in Reading and Writing.

At times we forget the impact that the uncertainty has had on our students, staff and community. I am proud to say that we have all supported each other to navigate our way through the uncertainty and we are hopefully coming out the other side.  At any time if you need any help or support please contact the school. We are here to help!

Please take time over the holidays to recharge and spend quality time with family and friends.

We have a super exciting Term 4 planned!

Book Week

This year Book Week will be Week 2, Term 4. The theme is Curious Creatures, Wild Minds

The Book Week Parade will be happening on Monday 19th October in the Gym. Please start planning your costumes!!

Due to COVID Guidelines and restrictions on the number of people able to be in the Gym parents/caregivers/family members will not be able to attend.  We understand that this is disappointing however we appreciate everyones understanding with this situation.

Due to this staff will be taking lots of pictures to share and we will be utilising Facebook Live to stream the event.

Book Week electives will be happening on Wednesday 21st October.

Sports Day

Sports Day is locked in for Thursday 5th November.  If we need to postpone due to weather Sports Day will be shifted to Friday 13th November.

Over the past few days we have been in communication with the Department of Education and Health SA and with a range of conditions in place we will be able to have approximately 440 parents/caregivers/family members attend.

We are currently working through the finer details in consultation with Governing Council, Department of Education and Health SA. Further details will be provided early next term.

School Parent Engagement Survey

Nothing is more important to us than your child’s education. To help us give your child the very best, we would like your honest feedback on a few key topics, including school communication.

Your feedback will help us understand the things we’re doing well, where we can improve, and what’s really important to you as a parent.

Parents can find more information at www.education.sa.gov.au/parentsurvey

The survey closes Friday 25 September and will take no more than 10 minutes. It’s confidential and you can complete it through the following link

Thank you. We know your time is valuable and we appreciate it.

COVID-19 Update

The situation with COVID is still the same at the current time. We are continuing to strictly follow Department for Education and Health SA Guidelines. We appreciate everyones support in this area to ensure we all keep safe.

School Closure Dates

The Governing Council has approved the following dates:

  • School Closure on Friday 6th November. This is following Sports Day.

Class Placement 2021

In the first few weeks of Term 4 the process to place students into classes for 2021 will begin.
