This week’s newsletter is a big one! There are many events happening over the next few weeks offering students a chance to participate in online information sessions.

Ensure you register as soon as possible as numbers may be capped and you don’t want to miss out. Students can also find lots of information on different courses and careers as well as a list of jobs in demand. Please take some time to scroll through the newsletter as there is something of interest for everyone.

Students will find many useful documents on the JMSS Career Website under the Careers Newsletter. These include:

·        University and TAFE Change of Preference Dates and Times

·        Beyond School Study Guide

·        Life After High School Booklet

·        University Terminology Guide

·        Comprehensive List of Courses and Where they are Offered (Course Matrices).

If students don’t get the ATAR and/or don’t have the required pre-requisites to be eligible for the courses they want, there are other alternative pathways. To find out more, students may want to check out the ‘Different Ways into University 2020’ document which is also under the Careers Newsletter.

Good luck to all students for their upcoming exams, especially the Year 12 students.

If you have any questions please feel free to email Ms Carter, kirstine.carter@jmss.vic.edu. You can also come and see me anytime on the ground floor near the stairs under Flannery House.

Happy Reading!!
