Eucalyptus House

The end of term is finally with us as we enter the two week break with mixed emotions. Term 3 began with eagerness as we returned onsite and were ready for the challenges of what lay ahead. By week three, we all returned to online learning and I was impressed with the manner in which we took it upon ourselves to make the most of a difficult situation.

I am extremely proud of our Eucalyptus community: outstanding staff, wonderful students and caring families. I would like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work of my leadership team: Ms Barton, Mr Greaves and Mr Fernando.

The fabulous student leaders, led by Glenn and Azalea, have demonstrated student agency and resilience during these unprecedented times. It is important that we take the time to rest and look after ourselves upon returning for our final term of the year.

I will leave you with these words:

You are amazing, you are brave and you are strong.

Year 9 Eucalyptus’ Thoughts on Remote Learning

I asked the Year 9 group what their thoughts on Remote Learning were. Here is a sample of their answers:

Hanifa

I really enjoyed the online course. I thought it was well planned and laid out, easy for me to follow. The work load was just enough, so I could finish everything with enough time, learn about the topics and not feel overloaded and rushed. Because online learning offers me the work whenever and wherever, you have the power to make more time for your passions outside of the classroom. I prefer online learning because it gives me the freedom to pave my own path in and out of the classroom.

Tamana

I think every piece of work that I have in remote learning is my favourite because I have spent a good time doing those pieces of work.

Tamim

I LOVED community service (farming). I have grown seeds, tomatoes, peas and broccoli. I like it because when I see results like the tomatoes plant growing tomatoes, it makes me happy.

Ali

One thing that I like about remote learning is that I have more time to complete my work.

Wajeeha

I like going out for PE work.

Sadaf

PE - doing the games!

Nazia

More time for painting.
