LRC Short Story Competition Results

Short Story Winners

Judging the LRC Short Story Competition was an absolute pleasure. There were exciting stories, sad stories, funny stories, adventurous stories - everything you could hope for!

Stories were judged on three main categories:

  1. Plot - stories that have a satisfying beginning, middle and end.
  2. Creativity - original stories with interesting plots and engaging characters.
  3. Fluency - well-written stories that demonstrated a sound understanding of spelling and grammar.

Our first, second and third place winners achieved high scores in all of these categories, as well as being fabulously entertaining and engaging stories. They were creative, well-written stories with a great plot and are all worthy winners.

Our first prize winners in each category have received their main prize: an online writing masterclass with author, Lili Wilkinson. All other writers will receive their prizes either in person or via the mail next term, depending how things go.

Well done to everyone who entered and who won an award! Keep writing and keep being creative.
