For the first time in quite a few years, the Premiers' Reading Challenge cup will go to a new House: Eucalyptus! Well done to the students in Eucalyptus House on your success.

Our students have done an amazing job of keeping up their reading despite having limited access to the LRC. Students have borrowed from our ebook library, or read books at home, or made use of their local library in order to meet the target of reading fifteen books for the Premiers' Reading Challenge. This has definitely been a tougher year than most!

We would like to make special mention of Year 10 students Steven (E10) and Bella (C10). Normally, only DHS students in Year 7 to 9 take part in the Reading Challenge, but these two Year 10 students decided to participate independently. Well done to both of you!

Successful students will receive their certificates in Term 4.

Teen Library Advisors

Despite being far from the library, our Teen Library Advisors (TLAs) are still doing their best to help and to act as ambassadors of the LRC. From writing reviews to recommending books to their peers, they are doing as much as they can online.

Our TLAs of the Month for August were particularly active online and really stood out for doing as much as they could from home. Well done to the following students for setting a fabulous example for their fellow TLAs.

  • Heather (H8)
  • Eva (E8)
  • Seyfurahman (E9)
  • Laura (B11)
  • Leah (B11)
