This term at O'Connor, we launched a program for our year 7 & 8 ATSI students. The program, PRIDE (Personal Development, Relationships, Identity and Culture, Dare to Dream, Engaging with Enthusiasm) has been held during a study period each fortnight. The students have had a great time getting to know each other and have been engaged, enthusiastic and respectful.

Some of the topics we discussed were Identity, Healthy Relationships and Conflict Resolution. During most sessions we were lucky enough to spend some time painting, doing team building activities and just being able to have a great chat.

Next Term we hope to continue with the program with the first couple of session planning NAIDOC Week for the O’Connor school community to celebrate.
