As Year 11 draw towards the conclusion of their Year 11 studies, it is time to consider textbook requirements for Year 12.

Science Club Report
Last Thursday was our last Science Club with our 2020 Year 12 Leaders, so we decided to leave them with a special prac for them to remember us... a thermite reaction! The thermite reaction is a reaction that turns aluminium and iron oxide powder into aluminium oxide and iron... but it is an extremely energetic experiment that can get to 3000°C... and causes the iron produced to melt! The experiment needed to be conducted outside and a special thanks must go to Mr Couani for letting us use his courtyard for this. We used lots of safety equipment to keep everyone safe and the experiment let off flames, heat and sparks as predicted... a huge success. We also used the time to present our Year 12 leaders with a special certificate of recognition for their help in Science Club this year. We wish Oliver Bowers, Keegan Aikin, Jonathan Hall and Matthew Weir all the best as they graduate from the College this week. Science Club will be back again next Term. Enjoy the holidays!

Performing Arts, Winter Sports and Other Group Photo Order Forms
All photos have now been taken for 2020. Attached are two different order Forms. One includes the Performing Arts, the other is for Winter Sports. For all other Group photos (ie Debating, Chess, College Leaders, Sons of Old Boys etc), these will appear on both forms. Please only order these once.
Both Order Forms need to be back to the College by Friday September 25 and placed in the box provided at the Student Reception.
Students can also get both Order Forms from the Student Office.
