Middle Years

Welcome back to Term Two, and I hope you have all had a good start to the Remote Learning Program. No doubt there have been many challenges, and there is a fair bit of adapting to do.

This week I have had many warm, heartfelt conversations with parents, and I would like to pass on our sincere thanks to our remarkable families. I have been incredibly impressed with the way you have all calmly embraced the responsibilities of remote learning, you have taken this in your stride and I know that all families are doing your best to make the most of this period.

The College staff appreciate your encouragement and support, this means a lot to us.  The warmth and generosity of our community continues to shine through.

To our students, I would like to say thank you for engaging in the Remote Learning Program. It is not easy, and learning in this way will be challenging, but with a positive outlook and growth mindset it will be easier to overcome obstacles.

We need your feedback and will endeavour to improve and tweak the Remote Learning Program. The ship has been launched and with continued hard work it will be a success.

I am feeling optimistic and grateful,

Optimistic as we have a great team,

Grateful because we live in a wonderful, warm and kind

      community.

We need to bring up our best self to this challenge, we can’t control the pandemic, but we can control our reacts, we can act responsibly by following social distancing guidelines and this will help the wider community, and by working together we can have an enormous impact.

As Ms Bradbeer said in assembly yesterday, 2020 will be a defining year, a year we will remember.
