Cricket

There has been some outstanding individual success over the last week for our College Cricketers.

U/17 Melbourne Renegades Challenge

On Sunday, in Ballarat, Maddie Green and Eliza Jagger were selected as some of the most promising juniors in Victoria to play against a Melbourne Stars U17 team. This is a huge achievement for both girls and their families!

U/17 Country Week

The 13 man squad has been named to play in Warrnambool in the upcoming January carnival. Riley Alexander, Ben McCure, Fergus Roberts and Oliver Wortley have all been selected in this team. A special mention to Riley Alexander who has been named the captain of his team. They will play a game this weekend against Warrnambool at Pedrina Park on Sunday. Ironically, Riley scored his maiden 100 playing for Port Fairy against Woodford alongside Max Green and Euan Sutherland. Both players will become the opposition to Riley over the weekend.

Under 13

The representative honours continue to flow for College cricketers. The Under 13 teams have not been picked yet, however Fergus Peddie, George Huf, Ciaran Nelson and Harry Austin have been named in the squads. They will also play against 2 visiting Warrnambool teams as they vie for selection in the final 13. Ben Potter and Jack Wortley have also been selected and will repreaent their local clubs.

College CC - 'Panel or A Picket Project'

We are fast coming to the end of our fundraising drive but need your help to get the last $20K required to complete our $120K redevelopment project! There are a number of ways you can donate and be acknowledged, as seen in the photos below.

Picket Sponsorship: $100 (small plaque on individual picket)

Panel Sponsorship: $1000 (larger plaque on crossbar of panel)

Gate Sponsorship: AUCTION SATURDAY NIGHT (Reserve Prices Set) Take up the opportunity to have one of only a few gates at the ground named after you, your family or your business. Gates sponsors will be acknowledged with a bronze anodised steel plaque and black lettering on the cross bar of double and single gates, providing a significant point of difference and appreciation of your contribution.

If you've already made a contribution but would like to bid for a gate, the pre-contribution can be made as part of your bid if you wish. Pre-auction or phone bids will gladly be accepted and many have already been received.

To purchase a picket or panel (fully tax deductible) please follow the link: https://asf.org.au/projects/college-cricket-club

Should you have any queries about the project or the auction on Saturday night please contact Lachy Patterson on 0429 955 669.
