Principal's Message

Message from Mrs Paula Hambly

The first half of Term 4 has been a very busy but equally rewarding 5 weeks at Boorowa Central School. Students across the school have had opportunities to participate in a number of excursions and school events. Our youngest have been to see the Gruffalo, toured our Nations’ Capital, had a visit from Healthy Harold and participated in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser. Secondary students have travelled to the Invictus Games, participated successfully in a Guinness World Record attempt to attend the largest Mental Health lesson and a Youth Driver Awareness program (RYDA). Needless to say, it has been busy.

I have also had the pleasure of welcoming new students and parents into our school community over the past weeks on our transition days. I was delighted to have also been able to teach the incoming 2019 year 7 class. Today marks the final day of our highly successful Kindy Start Program for the year and I am really looking forward to seeing all new students at the beginning of next year. I would like to thank all staff members involved in planning and coordinating our transition programs and events.

As we welcome new students we must also say farewell to our senior students who have all now completed their exams and are ready to embark on the next exciting stage of their lives. The Year 12 Farewell, held last night, was a lovely send off for the students and their families. I wish you all luck and look forward to seeing you in the future and hearing about your endeavours.

The final 4 ½ weeks of the term will be busy so let’s fill them with some great learning.
