Grade Six

Grade 6 Report

This term has been a very eventful time of the year! The Grade 6’s have been doing a lot of fun classroom activities! We have been learning with each other throughout the term and have had a wonderful first semester.

Term 2 means we are lucky enough to participate in Interschool Sports. We have had T-Ball, kickball, netball, football and soccer to keep us entertained every Friday. We have had a few wins and a few losses, but we always have a great time and congratulate the other teams as well as ourselves.

We have recently completed our Student Led Conferences. Even though we were all a bit nervous, we succeeded in pleasing our teachers and parents and we are all very proud of our efforts.

In our classrooms, we have been learning about fractions, decimals and percentages. We are understanding more and more every session and we are always absorbing information from our work.

Our Global Citizens Projects have been a huge part of this term. These are informative websites that we have created about the three pillars of sustainability. The three pillars of sustainability are economical, environmental and social. We all enjoyed creating these websites and gained a much better understanding about this topic.

Overall, we have all have had a remarkable and active term, but we are all quite cheerful that we are taking a much needed rest for two weeks during the holidays so we can come back to school ready to learn and have a superior time.
