Peer Tutoring Program

 

The Prefect body has developed an initiative to support the literacy and numeracy standards of Year 7 and Year 8 students. Every Wednesday and Friday morning from 8:00 – 8:30, student leaders from Year 11 and 12 will be available to assist lower school students with homework or with difficulties they may be having with Mathematics, English, Science, Religion or HASS. Year 7/8 students can join the session any time between 8:00 – 8:30am. The Peer Tutoring Program is held in the Library.

 

 

 

Does your son need help with his homework? 

A Year 11 or 12 Student Leader (Peer Tutor) can assist him in the library on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00am to 8:30am.

 

Does your son need help with English or Mathematics?

A Peer Tutor may be able to assist your son with the following:

 

EnglishMathematics

1. Paragraph Writing.

2. Sentence Structure.

3. Improving Vocabulary

(using alternative words to improve your writing).

4. Proofreading and Editing.

5. Reading.

1. Times Tables.

2. Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying and Dividing Decimals.

3. Fractions.

4. Area/Perimeter.
