Principal's Message

From the Principal

On Tuesday next week the students will go to their class groups for next year (“Moving Up Day”). This is an opportunity to meet with their ‘new’ teacher and spend some time with their ‘new’ classmates.

Tomorrow we have our Year 6 Graduation Mass. This provides us with the opportunity to pray for our students as they near the end of their primary school education and head into high school. The Mass will be celebrated in the Primary School Hall at 10.00am.

Yesterday several staff members had a professional learning day on the Science and Technology syllabus that was introduced this year. We were very fortunate to have Tanya Coli who is Inspector, Primary Education Curriculum Standards for the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA), present the professional learning.

As this is the last newsletter for the year, I take the opportunity to sincerely thank the St Edward’s School community for all your support and encouragement this year. We have achieved so much this year and for that we should all feel proud. I wish you all a very restful, holy and lovely Christmas.

On a personal level I have very much enjoyed my year and it is with sadness that I say goodbye, you have something special here. Appreciate and cherish it.
