Welcome to Prep MR

Congratulations to our 15 Prep students on a wonderful start to their school lives. Each child entered the classroom with a range of emotions. Some were excited, some were nervous and some were a bit teary (actually that was just Mum and Dad!) 

The Preps commenced their day with a tour of the school. They learnt to locate many important places such as their buddies’ classroom, the adventure playground and the toilets. 

There was much anticipation as the Preps shared morning tea with their buddies in their classroom. The room was abuzz with excitement and chatter.

There was some learning to be done as the children listened to a story about ‘Curious George’s’ first day of school.  The children then drew a self-portrait of themselves and devised a learning goal for Term 1. The Preps learnt how to identify, describe and sort two-dimensional shapes and used squares, triangles, rectangles and circles to make a picture. No wonder they went home exhausted.

We look forward to sharing the milestone of the Prep students first year of school and are excited to watch their growth as people and learners.
