Welcome Back!

Welcome back to all of our families at St Anthony’s Primary School. I trust that all of our families had a restful and an enjoyable break.

2020 will prove to be another exciting year for English with lots of events and activities planned for both students and families. Please keep an eye on this space as it will serve as a wealth of information for all things English related.

Our teachers have been working very hard to plan and deliver an English curriculum to our students that is both engaging and based on what current research says is best teaching practice. Our classroom teachers will deliver an English curriculum that is based on explicit, direct, instruction in the areas of Reading, Writing, Spelling, Speaking and Listening.

In the upcoming weeks all classroom teachers will be administering various English assessments. Your child’s classroom teacher will use these assessment results to plan an individualised English program based on each child's current learning needs.

I look forward to working with the staff, students and families of St Anthony’s in continuing to promote a love of English.
