News from the online world

We are seeing so many engaging and great independent activities being posted via our online platforms. Our teachers have been posting videos showing how to sign into google classroom, how to use the learning grids, how to submit work and  so much more. This week we started our intervention programs and Levelled Literacy small focus groups.

Here is just a peek of our week...

5/6 has all learning in the Google Classroom but here is a snapshot of what goes in there

Our Intervention online classrooms are also up and running with many small focus group and individual sessions starting this week.

We would like to congratulate and thank all teaching staff for the amazing explicit teaching videos they are posting in their learning programs! They are absolutely outstanding!!!! Each and everyone of these videos can be used again as a school resource even when covid 19 is all over!!! We should look at creating a bank and storing them under subject areas!!!

All teachers have gone above and beyond to explain tasks to parents and families, I'm sure our families are all in awe and gratitude for this work!!! Also, watching your videos makes us realise how much we are engaging the parents on his journey.

So thank you, you are an amazing team and our families are lucky to have all of you as educators!

An enormous thank you needs to be extended to our support staff who have been in onsite supporting learners and teachers but also making lots of other jobs come alive. We have a team of support staff scanning texts and levelled literacy scripts for small guided groups, staff coming in to set up the discovery space, staff repairing and mending valuable library books, covering new sets, we have our Hubs leaders travelling to check in on families through the week and bringing happy packs and reading resources, we have support staff preparing new reader packs for young and emergent readers, we have Chris who is re-purposing the picnic tables to the garden with a fresh lick of paint and also repairing and filling sandpits and play areas, Chris has been in a lot in his own isolation and has been making sure our school looks AMAZING!

Thanks to all of the team. How lucky we are to have you all.
