In praise of our remote learners of the week...You are superstars!

Learning together in perfect harmony

Now that we are getting better every week, we would like to acknowledge some of our online learners (and their families) from last week - superstars of learning!

In praise of Zoe from Prep PR doing incredible numeracy learning at home.  Zoe has been working so hard at home, ready to start the learning in her uniform every morning! Here’s a picture of her Number Board.

In praise of Steveland  and Levi  from Prep SC. Levi was very creative when using his favourite Lego toy to show his understanding of location (preposition) words. He has also become a master at meditation!  Steveland has been an absolute star when completing his number boards. He also designed a beautiful collage using materials found from nature and pictures that represented things that made him feel happy.

In praise of Titiska from 5/6PO for all her hard work with online and remote learning. Titiska constantly displays a positive attitude and enthusiasm towards her learning and regularly turns in work that she should be proud of. She never misses our morning or afternoon Google Hangout meetings and is always respectful of others during these meetings. Congratulations Titiska!

In praise of our fabulous onsite learners who work hard everyday while they cannot do this from home. It is always a bust day for them adjusting to online learning at school.

In praise of Francesco from 1/2KO for his impressive mathematical demonstrations of knowledge and for his terrific fact sorting and note taking. What a learner!

Also to Ferdinando from 1/2WE for sending in such terrific work.

Noah R  from 1/2ME, has impressed his teacher from the beginning of working remotely from home. He has had a go at all activities and is sharing his brilliant work with Ms Mead via his Dojo portfolio. But what has impressed Ms Mead the most is Noah's cooperation and dedication to working with his family to complete lessons and activities. We can see that it is a family effort and I am loving being able to see the work that is being completed together. Very proud of you.

In praise of Oscar from 5/6 HA. He has done such a wonderful job completing all his tasks at such a great standard. He also makes sure that he emails his teacher if he needs help and always responds politely. Congratulations Oscar and keep up the good work.

Congratulations to Noah M in 1/2GR.  He has completed every activity and is so creative with his work, shining brightly as an online learner.  He and his mum have even been making resources to help his learning. He also helped Mrs Gracie learn how to use Google Meet (and read fluently during this meeting)!

In praise of John from 1/2AB. John sends his work every day, with photos and videos. He likes to join his class for a chat in the morning.

In praise of Makarios from 3/4NG Everyday he always sends in work. This shows his understanding of high expectations!

In praise of Cayden from 3/4BA for being my online learner of the week. Cayden's work has really improved from the beginning of the term. He is becoming a more independent learner and is completing all the tasks to a standard to be proud of.

Well done to Martin from 3/4CH. Martin maintained focus on his work regardless of the distractions that were going on around him.

In praise of Penina, 3/4 LI who is very consistent and engaged with all the activities set. She always tries her best. Well done.

Hayden of 5/6DO has consistently handed in high quality work during our time of remote learning. He always puts in 100% effort and both Miss Warrener and Miss Doyle are very proud of him. Hayden's prayer that he wrote for an Anzac Day activity was very thoughtful. Well done, Hayden!

Ishan from 5/6FI has been a remote learning star!! He greets us every morning on Google Hangouts with a cheery smile and an enthusiastic ‘Good Morning!”  He has thoroughly enjoyed working online, and shares his enthusiasm each afternoon at our Google hangout check in with the class. He has worked to the best of his ability, handing in all of his work on time!! Outstanding Ishan!!!

We are so proud of our supportive families

The work you are doing weather it is big or small is making such a difference. Well done for all of the commitment made to each day, communicating with the school, supporting your children, making contact when unsure, celebrating acheivements through all of the photos you are sending and just for making online learning experiences so happy for your children.

Please keep in mind that student participation, engagement and involvement in classroom activities remain key factors in the tracking of your child’s learning.

THANK YOU

Patrika and team
